Tonight (07/10/2014) through Sunday (and beyond)

NOTE: Remember to read and reply letting me know that you received this e-mail.

Tonight we will run Act II like we did Act I last night. We will start with ChoreographyOnce we've begun the run, when you are not onstage, please work with Monique on any parts of the choreography that you're unsure of or just run them to make sure everyone is doing the same thing. Last night, I noticed that how you all held your hand in a few places were completely different. Particularly in The Hungry Men.
Please be sure to bring a pencil and paper with you tonight or find a way to notate when you're supposed to come on and where you're supposed to go. I didn't see anyone making notes of this last night and I sure would hate for you to not know where to go and/or when. Remember this is your responsibility.

Tomorrow, Friday, 07/11/2014, you have a little time off before we get into the thick of it.  Have fun! Enjoy yourselves! :)

Saturday, 07/12/2014, we will have work call to get the set painted. We will probably mostly put down a base coat and then the details will be added. We have lots of paint projects to work on, though, so if painting is your thing, come by. If you prefer to build things, we have need of a few more smaller items to be build. So, if that's your thing, come on down. Lastly, we will also need people who are interested in crawling into the rafters to help us install our new snake into the ceiling. I'll have waivers to be signed before you climb up into the rafters...just fyi.

Bring people with you, we love it when we have lots of people working on things there. This will be from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. or so.

Sunday, 07/13/2014, we will have a long 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. session. Until 4:30 p.m. we will be solidifying and polishing the dances, breaking down in to smaller groups to work on things like the tap and the waltzing... and the smaller numbers like Poker Polka and Lizzie's Comin' Home, etc... We will also work on fight choreography during that time. at 4:30 p.m. we will stop for dinner and then at 5:30 we will come back and run the show from the top and straight through, to get an idea of how long the show is. Hopefully it's closer to 2.5 hours than 3 or more. As always: Anytime you're not onstage acting or helping to move set pieces or what have you, you should be working with Monique on the choreography.  This rehearsal is set to end at 8 p.m. but understand that it may run a little later. I promise it will not go beyond 10 p.m.

ALSO: Starting tonight, (if you don't already) start parking in the lot behind the municipal building (if you're looking at the theatre front, it's the building on the right.

Monday, 07/14/2014, we will run the show as we would during performances. Anytime you're not onstage acting or helping to move set pieces or what have you, you should be working with Monique on the choreography. NOTE: Beginning today, we could rehearse as late at 11 p.m.

Tuesday, 07/15/2014, we will run the show as we would during performances. Anytime you're not onstage acting or helping to move set pieces or what have you, you should be working with Monique on the choreography.

Wednesday, 07/16/2014, OFF. Take a breather, enjoy the day...etc...

Thursday, 07/17/2014, we will run the show as we would during performances. Anytime you're not onstage acting or helping to move set pieces or what have you, you should be working with Monique on the choreography.

Friday, 07/18/2014, I will need to work with Lizzie, File, Starbuck, HC, Jim, Noah and Snookie onstage. Everyone else will be working with Monique on the Choreography.

Saturday, 07/19/2014, we will have our final work call. This is where we finish what is left to finish and we make the theatre look nice for the audiences to come in and see the shows. We'll need all hands to help with this, if at all possible.

Sunday, 07/20/2014, we will begin the rehearsal at 2 p.m. by running the show full costumes/makeup/hair/etc.... The orchestra is going to meet in the lobby to go over their stuff. We will have a dinner break at around 4:30 p.m. and then, at 5:30 p.m. we will start the sing-through. This is where the orchestra will play and we'll sing along with them, saying lines and so on so that we all have an idea of when/where/etc... to speak/sing/dance/etc... This rehearsal is set to end at 8 p.m. but understand that it may run a little later. I promise it will not go beyond 10 p.m.

Monday, 07/21/2014, will be run under performance conditions. Full costumes/makeup/hair/etc... Call time is at 6:30 p.m. for anyone who wants to go over anything choreography-wise. We will close house at 7 p.m. and open house at 7:30 p.m. and we will go at 8 p.m. We will have a 15 minute intermission.

Tuesday, 07/22/2014, CHRISTIAN CITY NIGHT/SENIOR NIGHT. You have an audience tonight. Please feel free to invite any of your friends/family who you think may want to see the show but may not be able to afford it otherwise or just anyone you think of who might want to see the show. Just bear in mind that this is still a rehearsal. Our invited guests already know this, just be sure your people do as well. Though this will be "show conditions," we sometimes start Christian City early, so just be sure you're there and ready as early as you can.

Wednesday, 07/23/2014, OFF - Rest up, but keep looking over things that you may not have yet...although, knowing all of you wonderful people, you won't need to. :)

Thursday, 07/24/2014, OPENING NIGHT...how exciting?

I think that's it. Let's do this!

THANK YOU!

Jared.
