Countdown!!!

Tonight through this weekend.

Tonight I am working with Lizzie, Starbuck and File on their scenes. Also, tonight, we will NOT have Monique, so NO ONE is to be there tonight unless you are Lizzie, Starbuck or File.

Tomorrow night is a guild meeting, but we are running out of time, so Monique is going to meet Thom, Scott, Jerrell and David A (David, if you can make it). to go over their numbers.

Wednesday, we are going to run as much of the entire show as possible with the CD and singing the songs full out. If we can get through the full show, AWESOME!

Thursday, we are going to run through the show again. We will have Boone Smith there to photograph the show so that we have more publicity photos. Speaking of, the ones we took a few Saturdays back should be finished soon.

Friday, we are off...rest up because it's going to be a long weekend.

Saturday is work call again and we should be painting, so bring painting clothes. There are a few smaller build projects left to do in case you prefer to do that.

Sunday is a rehearsal from 2pm until 8pm.

As I said before, when we do full runs, everyone should be there. I have been really good about allowing the pop-up conflicts, but folks, we are WAY too close to opening for you to miss anymore rehearsals. Clearly, those dates we already know about (and in 99.9% of the cases, have known about for a while) are fine. So if something comes up, say no please (to them, not us). It's incredibly disrespectful to your fellow actors and the crew and me to keep missing. Believe it or not, the gap you leave by not being there does create a problem for those who count on you to be there.

Also, and I apologize to those of you who this does not apply to, but we are through being your scapegoats and/or punching bags when you don't read the blog or check the calendar. If you are unsure of something, ask. Also, we need to stop the negativity and disrespect. Talking back and huffing off is beyond childish and not necessary so stop it. If you have a question or are confused about something, remain calm, ask your question when acknowledged or, if possible, wait until a break or after rehearsal Finally, we have bent over backwards to make sure that everyone gets a moment in the spotlight so if you're not always front and center, get over it. The show isn't named after any one character in this script, it's 110 in the Shade. I don't know how to put that more politely.

THAT SAID... Thank you always to those of you who continually show up to work calls, work hard on your roles, the dancing, the singing, etc... and are always asking excellent questions about character development and even offering sage advice and suggestions when appropriate. THANK YOU!

At this point, you should all be off books for music, so if you're ready to turn in your scores to Shannon, please do so so that she can mark you of the list.

I'm sorry I had to say some of the things I did in this email, but it was necessary. Folks, this WILL BE a great show and it's because of all of you. Please keep up the hard/good work and let's do this!!!

THANK YOU!!!

Jared
